Frequently asked questions

What are the dimensions of Rico?

RICO is pocket sized but can be used with both small and large tools The applied torque is always visible on the phone display, even if the tool is not in sight.

What force can it withstand?

Rico bears any force that can be applied by hand. It is supplied in a practical and solid box where it can be stored when not in use. The use of an extension lever with a traditional wrench can reduce effort, but the torque limit must never be exceeded. Rico, on the other hand, calculates the torque based on the effective length of the lever.

What about range and accuracy?

Torque range depends on the force you can exert and the lever length. A force of 80 kg
exerted on a 1.25 m long lever produces a torque of 1000Kg*m, or 9806 N*m, or 7233 lb*ft.
The use of an extension bar with a traditional torque wrench will only reduce the required
effort, but the wrench’s torque limit must never be exceeded. RICO, instead, allows you to
use any lever length you desire and computes torque taking into account the actual lever
length. No torque wrench can match RICO’s accuracy

What is the difference between two digital torque wrenches dedicated to different torque ranges?

The length and the ability to withstand mechanical stress.

And what about the electronic part?

It is essentially the same

Does this mean that when I buy two or three torque wrenches for different ranges I'm basically buying two or three identical parts?

Yup! That's right! Rico is the right answer: buy a single device that can be connected to any tool (even those you already have at home) and turn it into a torque wrench. Rico covers the entire range of the most common hand tools, and at a significantly lower cost.
